About the location data

Cities and towns come from the community-maintained, PSA-derived psgc dataset. Coordinates are area-weighted centroids, not town halls or monitoring stations. Forecasts using them are city/town-area estimates, not barangay readings. The roster has not been directly verified against the official PSA directory.

Selection: province_code 0702200000 plus psgc_code 0730600000,
0731100000 and 0731300000 (53 cities and municipalities).
Names beginning "City of " are displayed as "... City". Field names are
adapted and powerCity identifies only the eight supported Visayan Electric
LGUs. Coordinates and coordinate_source values are unchanged.

Coordinates are area-weighted centroids, not town halls or monitoring
stations. Forecasts using them are city/town-area estimates. This is not
a claim of direct official PSA verification; the official directory could
not be accessed during planning.
