About the location data

Cities and towns come from the community-maintained, PSA-derived psgc dataset. Coordinates are area-weighted centroids, not town halls or monitoring stations. Forecasts using them are city/town-area estimates, not barangay readings. The roster has not been directly verified against the official PSA directory.

Selection: province_code 0702200000 plus psgc_code 0730600000,
0731100000 and 0731300000 (53 cities and municipalities).
Names beginning "City of " are displayed as "... City". Field names are
adapted and powerCity identifies only the eight supported Visayan Electric
LGUs. Coordinates and coordinate_source values are unchanged.

Coordinates are area-weighted centroids, not town halls or monitoring
stations. Forecasts using them are city/town-area estimates. This is not
a claim of direct official PSA verification; the official directory could
not be accessed during planning.

Source and AQI information

The provider’s consolidated US AQI is shown, not an AQI recalculated from the PM values and not the DENR/Philippine AQI scale.

Open-Meteo’s air-quality documentation also requests acknowledgement of the CAMS ENSEMBLE data providers. That European ensemble is not the source grid used for Cebu.
